Stackable Rings
Stackable rings are usually bands without the one or more large stones seen in say the wedding ring to allow the rings to 'stack' up on the finger easily. There are also stackables made to enhance other preexisting rings like the wedding ring, which can be given at various anniversaries. They are often very thin but some are wider, and they can be sold in multiples. Three to five are worn at a time but the limit is really the end of your finger. Stackable rings are popular because they allow the wearer to adorn themselves in a unique pattern of metals, colors, textures, and alternating patterns and smooth surfaces. The styles for stackable rings range far and wide. Upscale retailers will sell the stackable in yellow, white, or rose gold, silver, and even platinum. Stackables do come with diamonds and other stones but they will be very small so as not to extend beyond the width of the band and ruin its stackability. Many stackable rings have stones that are vibrant in color ranging from lime green to hot pink. Stacking birthstone rings are ways to denote the number of children you have or friends along with your own birthstone ring. They are also available as mother's rings so each child in the family can get mom a ring. Stackable wedding bands are gaining in popularity for those who want to do something more and exchange several rings, each of which representing a separate aspect of the relationship. Stackable rings are usually associated with feminine fashion, but they are starting to make an impact with the male fashion market. Men's stackable rings come in simple bands and most of the decoration styles come from the texture or subtle color alternations.
